On my laptop I uninstalled both Nvidia driver and Intel graphic, I got a blank black screen, forced the pc to shutdown Press and hold power.

I would love to get this working. I'm having the same issue on my new Surface Pro 4, i cant add a solid box or anything, without D crashing. Right click on the icon for D Design. Select "run with graphics processor", and chose the one that is not default. Ths fixed it for me. If that works, use the "change default" option to make it permanent for this app.

Update - changing the default grpahcs driver fixed the initial problem, now it randomly disappears without warning. This is making it unusable. This worked for me as well.

If you right click on the D desktop icon you shoud see some other options,one of which shoul be "open with". I have what seems like the same problem -- my new Windows 10 system can run bit version of D Design version 2. Actually that's not quite true -- it doesn't crash until I move the mouse over the shape, so looks like it is a problem rendering the highlight outline.
